I am Gary and I guess I’m what is called a Person-Centred Counsellor based in Crewe, Cheshire. There are no limitations to whom or what I will work with.

I have studied Carl Rogers’ (1951) approach for several years and have achieved a degree to reflect my understanding of this. I wholeheartedly embrace the Person-Centred approach and try to fully embody this within my practice.

Perhaps, more important than my academic achievements is my experience as a fellow traveller of life and my grey hairs which celebrate this. I am a recovering alcoholic and have felt at times, that I really didn’t want to be here anymore. Today with the help of others and exploring myself – I love life – I am a proud father, loving partner, reliable son and more importantly for me is that most days, I like who I see in the mirror. 

If you feel like having some space to explore yourself in a safe, confidential environment and perhaps gain some peace of mind, then please do get in touch. I offer one to one sessions to all, regardless of age, sex, race, or religion. There are no particular subject areas in which I ‘specialise’ – if any I specialise in being human and providing an environment which encourages absolute acceptance. 

Finally, if you feel that you may benefit from counselling but are concerned about costs, please do not let this deter you. I am human too and once had nothing – if people had not helped me, I still would have nothing.
